Concept:
APN Certified Neapolitan Pizzeria that serves certified Neapolitan Pizza, as well as Italian street food. In addition, we have an open kitchen mozzarella bar where we make homemade mozzarella dishes and our signature homemade burrata fresh to order. We also offer salads, desserts and the only all wine on tap bar in Connecticut. Everything is made fresh on premises and from family recipes.
Pizza Style:
We serve traditional APN certified Neapolitan pizza the traditional way as made in Naples, Italy. Our dough is light, airy and easily digested, contains no GMOs and is made fresh daily. We allow a 24- to 48-hour rise on our dough, allowing the dough to be light and easy to eat. We also have an amazing homemade gluten free dough we have become very well known for in the community.
How do you encapsulate your “love life and pizza” motto at your restaurant?
We do this by loving what we do every day, from our food to the employees to the customers. We take exceptional pride in our food and always provide the highest quality. We also put the consumer first, while making sure our staff and family are happy.
As a self-taught chef, how have you been able to elevate and grow in your craft?
I continue to grow as a self-taught chef. I believe you must always continue to learn and grow. You never know everything and what makes a great chef is one that is open to new ideas and learns from others. I want to grow in the pizza community and continue to grow as a person.
As dining reopens, what will you take away from this time to enhance your business?
With the shut down and time to regroup, we have made several changes in our operations to streamline the business, as well as provide a better work environment for our employees. We changed from full service dining with servers, to a fast-fine dining concept. The way it works is you now place your order at counter, receive a number, sit and we serve our amazing food to the table. It has made things easier, less contact and more efficient processes. We are taking measures to make the environment safe for our staff and customers while continuing to provide exceptional quality and food. We had time to really focus on what matters and that is family, staff and LOVING LIFE AND PIZZA!
